BEAUTIFUL LARGE SILVER ANTIQUE CIGAR BOX. This is a magnificent early 20th-century (1908) sterling silver large cigar box, or can be used as a trinket storage box. Elegant plain finish, with spreading walls and a high domed lid. Raised on four bracket feet. Cedar wood lined interior, in clean condition. The lid closes flush with the body, without leaving any gap. Fully hallmarked on the lid and the body. It is free from inscriptions or monograms. The base measures 9″ x 5 1/2″ approximately. The underside is lined with a real wood panel. HALLMARKS: Chester, STERLING fineness 925. MAKER George Unite & Sons. DIMENSION: 22.5cm x 13.8cm (9″ x 5 1/2″). Height: 7cm (2 3/4) approx.
