Antique Silverplate Cigar Box Tobacco Box
Rare, antique, silverplate/ quadruple plate, cigar/ cigarette/ tobacco/ smoking box. Gorgeous and unique, this box is oval, the lid lifts up and holds a round mirror (more likely held an ashtray previously). The bottom half has built in spots for perhaps tobacco, ashtray, cutter, matches and cigar. The lid has engraved garland and bow with the monogram “CMS”. The bottom has 4 ball feet. This box is so much lovelier in person than in pictures as it’s still very shiny. I’ This box is perfect for use on your desk, in office, bar top, etc. Measurements: approx 8 1/4″ long x 6 1/2″ wide x 3 1/2 tall. Marks: Colonial Silver Co Quadruple Plate Portland Me 1360. This inkwell is in good antique condition. May have typical signs of vintage use such as slight surface scratches, plating wear, more near the etchings (not obvious at all, looks way better in person than in pictures). My pictures aren’t doctored to hide flaws so please use photos as part of the description. My items are antique and vintage. They have been loved through the years and most likely will show such. Antique Victorian Wood Cigar Caddy Box, Table Top Cabinet Cigar Presenter Box
Antique 19th century Victorian wooden cigar caddy or cigar presenter box. Free standing table top cabinet form. Sarcophagus styling to the top. Centered by ornate metal cartouches, the side hinges with stylized foliate decoration. Resting on four knob feet. Opening to reveal eight sliding drawers with metal knobs. The carved grooved slots are capable of holding up to 6 cigars per drawer. The carved slots measure 5 1/4″ length x 13/16″ width. Will easily hold cigarillos and cigars with a cepo of 40 gauge with a 5 1/8 maximum length. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, lacking a key for the lock. Welcome to the Antique Boutique. This box has nice simple art deco style and is marked with German hallmarks on the base, the makers mark is unreadable. Condition: Some abrasions on the surface. Some areas of tarnishing. Height 1 7/8 Inches 4.7 cm. Width 6 1/4 Inches 16.0 cm. Depth 3 1/2 Inches 8.9 cm. A rare, antique Meriden silverplate Art Nouveau humidor with a nude lady on the lid. The box is just over 8.75 inches wide and is just over 2.5 inches tall. This is a very scarce model that is in excellent condition with only a few small touches of wear to some high points / high contact areas, and some light scratches.
