Fine antique to vintage Victorian to early Edwardian era Black Forest hand carved 6 7/8 square cigar chest, presenter or tantalus with ornate floral & foliate decoration and four sliding trays to hold up to 24 cigars! Tantalus style, the entire lid and front panels lift up to open completely and display the four sliding cigar trays inside. Each tray with vertical wood dividers to hold a total capacity of twenty-four 5 cigars. The top of the chest with leaf & flower accents in the center. The front and sides panels with carved of vines & leaves. A charming decorative piece whether or not you’re a cigar or tobacco aficionado. Very good condition, age considered. There is a chip to the bottom rim of the lid near the rear right corner and a few small chips to the leaves & flowers on top. There are also two missing vertical dividers on one of the sliding trays. The box is 6 7/8″ square and stands 6 1/4″ tall, 7 1/4 tall with the carved flowers & leaves on top. We’re easy to deal with. You are very important! Our fine inventory is very important.
