Quality Antique Edwardian Leather Desktop Cigar Box Humidor Silver Mounts 1902

A lovely leather covered cigar box, dating from the early 20th Century. The outer of the box is covered in a red leather with a silver mounted shield escutcheon and silver “Cigars” label. Both silver pieces are clearly hallmarked for London 1902. Both flaps of the box lift up to reveal a plain wood lined interior. Height : 3 1/2 (9cm). The box is in good condition for its age. It has been well used but well looked after and has retained its natural aged look. The outer has some small age related knocks and scuffs and minor losses but nothing detrimental. Inside it is generally clean and tidy and overall it displays very well and is certainly a nice usable item. This is a nice antique Cigar Humidor box (see photos). The item looks to be make of Mahogany wood and it has nice mounts that look to be silver plated to me (see photos). The item is antique (see photos). The item has a lock on it and it is open, but I do not have a key (see photos). The item has a mount on each upper and lower corner with the word Cigars written in metal cursive script on the top of the box (see photos). The item would make a welcome addition to your collection (see photos). The item is in as found condition. The item in total measures about 5 inches high, about 7 inches from the front edge to the back side at the top and 10 and 3/4ths inches wide from side to side. The metal word cigars has a break in the lettering and it looks as if there should be more metal around the top of the key ole etscheon that is missing?
