A bit of a novelty, so for restoration I take pleasure in offering for sale this rather charming hand-painted Victorian cigar box which I suspect were used either on shop counters to display cigars, or because of the hoop to the back of the box it’s likely these types of cigar boxes were used by waiters to serve customers at the table. The box is of true antique age, but remains a solid / robust box with stunning dovetail joints, but let down by the obvious damage to the lid, so a certain amount of restoration is required. The box measures 30cm long x 18cm wide x 11cm tall.
