Great period early 1900’s Arts & Crafts hand crafted and hand hammered copper and sterling silver cigar humidor/box by Bailey, Banks & Biddle. The box is clearly marked “BAILEY BANKS & BIDDLE” “COPPER AND SILVER”. 9″ across x 5 3/4″ deep x 3 high and it weighs approx. One of the hinges needs a touch of silver solder(see photos) otherwise it is in very good original condition with only expected wear, tarnishing and interior cleaning. I did a light polishing but did not want to get rid of all the patina. (please view all photos for the best representation of quality and condition). Please look at all the photos to get a good idea of the true condition, the photos are part of the description. The items I list are primarily antique or vintage and may have some minor flaws. I try to mention all damage or wear to the best of my ability; but I don’t hold these pieces to the same standard as I would if they were new. I have an antique tiger wood cigar box. The inside is line with one divider. All the silver tone pieces are there. The bottom is marked and I’d say this is from the late 1800’s? There is a little button knob foot missing on the bottom. Other than that this is a beautiful piece. Measures 9.5″ x6″ x 4. Please ask any questions you may have.

This box represents the height of corporate luxury from the early 20th century, likely used in executive offices or elite passenger parlor cars. Construction: The box features high-quality hardwood construction with elegant mitered joinery. The lid is inset with a contrasting wood panel that serves as the canvas for its original historical graphics. Graphics & Markings: Center: Hand-lettered style inscription: Specially selected for Pennsylvania Central Co. The “V” Shield: A striking graphic on the left featuring a gold “V” draped in a patriotic American flag ribbon, a mark of premium quality. Heraldic Crest: An ornate, colorful double-headed eagle crest on the right, suggesting a prestigious or international tobacco source. This is a beautiful humidor in very good condition. I have not cleaned it… I know very little about these types of antiques so I will leave it to the new owner. The letters in “Cigars” look a bit faded and at first glance I thought it had hairline cracks (where the light brown lines are) but it doesn’t… It’s just the pattern.
