Century European Baroque style long wooden box for keeping jewelry, fan and gloves for ladies or pipes, tobacco, cigars for men. Mahogany wood box with handcarved overlay bronze plaques. Middle piece depicting a grotesque devil face reminds me medieval gargoyles. Some round wood pieces are missing from the corners. Clearly seen on the photos. No repair, in fair condition compare to its age. Former owners used with care, only examining inside and the bottom you can discover that item is very old. Hinges are strong and working well! Description: Patinated bronze Baroque style humidor, first half of the 20th century. Decorated with relief designs of putti, flowers, and the face of a bearded man. Lid with relief leaf accents. Gilt metal liner within. 5 inches diameter x 6.25 inches tall. Condition: Very good condition, minor split to the lid with possible soldering unclear whether from cast or later.
