This was my grandfathers back in the day. He kept cash in it for a rainy day. It’s about as perfect an example as I’ve ever seen. It looks brand new not a hundred years old! The Brass is perfect, aside from a tiny dent or two. The cedar lining still smells wonderful and the shine is off the charts. You will not find a better nor more complete example of this tin. Beautifully refinished solid walnut cigar humidor. Measures 12″ long x 8″ deep x 4 1/4 tall. Inside is 11″ long x 7″ deep x 3 1/2 tall. Sides are 1/2 thick and assembled using the splined miter joint. 90º hinges in good working order. Exterior refinished with MinWax Satin Varnish and hand polished to a soft luster with 0000 steel wool and paste wax. The entire inside is lined with milk glass. All joints are solid.
