Used ammo can converted into a humidor. I lined the walls and bottom with solid cedar planking, and I wanted the top to be lined also; alot of the can humidors I was looking at at the time did not have lined top. The top is a genuine cedar laminate–that is, that plank is lined on both sides by a thin cedar layer. The inner layer is some fibrous material. The removable top has a good removable hygrometer attached via magnet, it just needs a new button cell battery (2032). I stored standard Dominicans in it as well as fragrant Acid cigars and some pipe tobacco (in a package / bag) also. To me, it smells wonderful. I fashioned a crude removable divider as a way to neatly separate and stack some some ring cigars, which is included. If you’ve never owned one of these, they do an amazing job of keeping in moisture and if you used a good slow-release system, it can store cigars for years without them drying out nor getting moldy. I’m winding down my smoking years so it’s ready for a new home. Unique, to me, as it stored rubber ball non-lethal hand grenades. Don’t see that every day.
