My best guess is this is cherrywood, no guanrantee but it certainly isn’t resin or made in China! 10.5″ long across top and about 7″ wide. Bottom is 3 deep. Silver plate on lid is monogram EAB – oh, isn’t this the humidor handed down from grandpa? Box is in very good vintage condition. As of yet I haven’t found a key to fit the lock – if I do I will happily send it along. Box has minimal scratches, most notable if any is on back side of box. Bottom of box has a black paper cover, a little raggedy on one edge but intact. Milk glass inside is all good. Please look at photos carefully as they are part of the description. I’ve found these dated to the 1930s. It features a nice warm finish that is achieved over time. Made of walnut by Decatur Industries. Measures 8 by 11 inches, 3 inches deep. RARE ALFRED DUNHILL HUMIDOR CIGAR BOX. I believe the wood is walnut with cedar lining. This was s gift to the Senior Vice President of Hilton Hotels by jazz and Latin musician Sergio Mendes in late 1970’s. The plaque reads: Henri Lewin, my sincere thanks, Sergio Mendes. It is lined with cedar wood and has the humidor on inside of lid. Base is wood and painted black and all of the humidor is in original finish and patina and has not yet been polished.
