Up for sale is a rare antique ornate gilt brass figural humidor cigar store oil lighter display. It’s cast out of thick gilded brass with very elaborate detailing, is a heavy piece, and in the form of a cart. The humidor has a removable lid with an ashtray attached and nude fairy appliqués on each side done in high relief. It has ornate axeled wheels wheels that actually turn and an intricate oil lamp mounted two the back to light cigars. Considering that this Hermes by Ravinet DEnfert articulating silver duck box is nearly 70 years old, it’s in tremendous condition. Quite a special piece. The double wing form on top is spectacular. Once opened, its even larger in size. The head is adjustable as well. We gave this a cursory exterior polish. It can quickly be polished to an even more regal shine. HERMES PARIS and the RD makers mark are both stamped on the side. And it’s generously sized at H 3.94 in. X W 7.88 in. X D 2.84.
