Rare Rockwell Kent’Sally’ Art Deco Cigar Box. 1928 rare Rockwell Kent’Sally’ Art Deco cigar Box. The image on the lid of the box is attributed to Rockwell Kent, a famous early 20th c. The image depicts Sally Kent Gorton his wife and widow. The image was designed in 1928 for an A. Spalding & Brothers (men’s only store – 520 Fifth Avenue, NY) magazine advertisement. There are very few of this particular box available. Rockwell Kent had the image etched in the lids of some brass boxes, made by Chase Brass and Copper Company and gave them out as gifts to friends and business associates. This particular box has been well cared for. The inside of the is clean and in very good condition and I guess re-felted. The brass on the outside has developed a nice patina and has other signs of normal age. The box is marked A. Spalding & Bros on the front rim and EPCO on the back rim E. Is The East Prospect Cigar Company, Pennsylvania. Approximate dimensions: 18cm wide x 14cm deep x6.5 cm high. Collection/couriers always welcome from PE14 9PF, however we do not arrange the courier service but can recommend someone. Please do not use myHermes or similar – these are for easily wrapped parcels – not larger bits of furniture or items marked as collection only. By courier we mean a man with a van! We have for sale a rectangle shape wood humidor box that I believe is made out of mahogany. This is vintage and came from a nice clean estate sale. The inside is lined with milk glass and is not cracked or chipped. The hinges work properly. Unfortunately we do not have the key for this. I really dont believe it would be difficult to find a skeleton key to work. This is vintage and shows the usual vintage wear that one should expect of an antique humidor. The overall outside dimensions with the lid closed are 11-3/4 x 8 x 4-3/4. Not exactly sure why it has the vintage fragile sign on the milk glass. I guess milk glass is fragile, but Im not positive that that sign is original to the manufacture of the box. Whatever the case, I think its kind a cool! This box is not cheaply made and is well constructed. Please look at all pictures closely for details, thanks for looking! Up for sale is a high quality antique 19th century handmade wooden cigar humidor box. It’s made out of a rich colored mahogany with ornate open worked plated metal corners and has acquired a lovely sheen patina from age. The lid opens on dual hinges and is lined with an early traditional tin humidor lining that has wings in the back for a humidor stone. It’s in nice antique condition and measures 10 inches long by 6 3/4 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. The box has a square key entry but is missing the original key. Up for sale is a high quality antique handmade mahogany cigar humidor box. It’s made out of a high glossed mahogany wood and is a large humidor measuring 12 3/4 inches long by 9 inches tall by 9 inches wide. The box’s lid opens on brass hinges and has a brass key lock on the face. It also has a drawer underneath with a brass finger hole handle which actually locks closed when the lid shuts with a hidden mechanism. The lid and drawer are lined with milk glass bottoms along with under the lid. It’s in great condition but the box is missing the key.
