Antique Victorian Box re purposed as a Cigar Humidor Circa 1880. Approx Size: 14″ x 9.25″ x 12. Great overall antique condition. Originally a writing slope, it has been re-purposed as cigar humidor and ceder wood lining has been added later to the interior. Original lock and key. There are two filters in the lid to regulate humidity, these will likely need new filters to function. Good large size and a good conversion. Monogram to the inlaid mother of pearl. Refinished and Repurposed Antique Solid Mahogany Cigar Humidor + Felt Lining

Beautiful early 1900s repurposed and refinished cigar humidor. Made of solid mahogany. Measures 10 3/4″ long x 7 1/4″ deep x 4 1/4 tall. Inside is 9 3/4″ long x 6 1/4″ deep x 3 3/4 tall. Sides are 1/2 solid mahogany assembled using the splined miter joint for strength and esthetics. 90º hinges keep lid open during use. Lock, escutcheon and monogram plate are solid brass. Refinished with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand polished to a soft luster with 0000 steel wool and paste wax. Bottom is fully lined with a hunter green felt and inside of the lid uses the same material. Lock works, but no key. Lid has a slight twist from age. Fully restored and repurposed antique solid tiger oak cigar humidor lined royal blue felt. Blank engraving plate and working lock (no key). Takes an open square key not included. Outside bottom is covered in a dark green felt. Edges on lid are rounded over. Box measures 11 1/2″ long x 7 3/4″ deep x 4 5/8 tall. Inside is 10 1/2″ long x 6 7/8″ deep x approximately 4 tall. Constructed of 1/2 thick oak and uses a splined miter joint for strength and appearance. Box was cleaned and refinished with Min Wax Satin varnish and hand-polished with 0000 steel wool and paste-wax for a soft luster. 90º hinges hold lid open.
