BEAUTIFUL LARGE SILVER ANTIQUE CIGAR BOX. This is a magnificent early 20th-century (1908) sterling silver large cigar box, or can be used as a trinket storage box. Elegant plain finish, with spreading walls and a high domed lid. Raised on four bracket feet. Cedar wood lined interior, in clean condition. The lid closes flush with the body, without leaving any gap. Fully hallmarked on the lid and the body. It is free from inscriptions or monograms. The base measures 9″ x 5 1/2″ approximately. The underside is lined with a real wood panel. HALLMARKS: Chester, STERLING fineness 925. MAKER George Unite & Sons. DIMENSION: 22.5cm x 13.8cm (9″ x 5 1/2″). Height: 7cm (2 3/4) approx. Antique Hand Painted Wood Humidor with Porcelain Lined Lid. Box for Cigars Tobacco Tea. Here is a very beautiful wooden box most likely intended for humidor, since the lid is lined with porcelain. Very dark, almost black wood finish with hand painted oval cartouche to the top. Manly design for a sophisticated gentleman. Probably used for tobacco or cigars but tea is also an option. Metal hinges and a lock, but unfortunately the key is missing. Sturdy and in great usable shape. Early/Mid 1800’s, Anglo- American.
