Up for Sale is a Very Rare Porcelain Cigar Case/Humidor Made by the Wilke Mfg. The humidor is a Very Early 1900’s Piece. Was in business from 1897 – 1905. They made Refrigerator’s mainly but also made these Cigar Boxes. For Being Over 100 Years Old this is in Good Condition. You can tell it has been used. It has a Couple of Cracks in the tiles and also some crazing. The wood on the inside and on the bottom is cherry. On the case there is a label that reads – Porcelain Cigar Case, Pat. Applied For, Made by Wilke Mfg. The case measures approx. 25 Tall by 18 Wide by 19 1/2 Deep. The original key to the lock is original and included but doesnt turn the lock. I did not want to force but believe it could be fixed. Handle seals the door tightly. These were only for the Rich but High End Hotels also used them to keep cigars for their Wealthy Guests. It’s built really sturdy. These Cigar Cases are Very Rare and Highly Collectible. They Don’t come up for Sale very often. It’s a must have for the Serious Tobacciana Collector. Refinished and Repurposed Antique Solid Mahogany Cigar Humidor + Felt Lining

Beautiful early 1900s repurposed and refinished cigar humidor. Made of solid mahogany. Measures 10 3/4″ long x 7 1/4″ deep x 4 1/4 tall. Inside is 9 3/4″ long x 6 1/4″ deep x 3 3/4 tall. Sides are 1/2 solid mahogany assembled using the splined miter joint for strength and esthetics. 90º hinges keep lid open during use. Lock, escutcheon and monogram plate are solid brass. Refinished with several coats of MinWax Satin Varnish and hand polished to a soft luster with 0000 steel wool and paste wax. Bottom is fully lined with a hunter green felt and inside of the lid uses the same material. Lock works, but no key. Lid has a slight twist from age. Originally a writing slope, it has been re-purposed as cigar humidor and ceder wood lining has been added later to the interior. Original lock and key. There are two filters in the lid to regulate humidity, these will likely need new filters to function. Good large size and a good conversion. Monogram to the inlaid mother of pearl. Beautifully refinished solid walnut cigar humidor. Measures 12″ long x 8″ deep x 4 1/4 tall. Inside is 11″ long x 7″ deep x 3 1/2 tall. Sides are 1/2 thick and assembled using the splined miter joint. 90º hinges in good working order. Exterior refinished with MinWax Satin Varnish and hand polished to a soft luster with 0000 steel wool and paste wax. The entire inside is lined with milk glass. All joints are solid. Antique American sliver plate humidor / snuff box, silver plate on copper with a beautiful gold wash inside the lids, mark of the famous American Silversmith and retailer, Elizur G. Webster & Son, New York, NY, the company was famous for it’s high end antique reproductions, this humidor is done in 18thC Dutch Revival, with an elaborate Dutch Tavern scene in relief, some of the maidens are participating in bawdy behavior, handled with ball feet, the original form was used as a communal snuff box that would have sat on a table for guests to partake, inscribed to the recipient and dated 1922 on the bottom, most of the silver plate is gone but the gold wash inside is quite luminous, condition issues of small dents, scratches, and a crack to the corner of the lid, this would have been a very opulent and expensive item in it’s day, the approximate size is 8 inches long, 3.5 inches wide, and 4.25 inches tall, #5946.
