Rare Antique Russian Ptd COSSACKS Tobacco Humidor Box Vishnyakov Imperial Era. Offering a very handsome Antique Russian Painted Humidor/Tobacco Box. Signed inside by celebrated VISHNYAKOV– awarded numerous gold Imperial medals. Retains original interior tin foil paper. Well loved– inside retains the lingering aroma of tobacco. Lid– hand painted– portraying Russian woman peasant and two Cossacks. One playing the accordion and one dancing– kicking up his heels. Rare to see Cossack dancing on Russian boxes– usually painted are Troika sleds. Wear commensurate with age and use. Thumping, bumps and wear on corners– see images. Crazing on painted lid, but painting itself is in very good condition. Hinges are strong and stable. Approx– 5 3/8″ by 3 3/8″ by 3 1/4 h. Hard to find early signed Box. Wonderful scene of animated Russian country life. Rare to find Humidor/Tobacco box with original silver foil. We wrap all our items very carefully. Refinished & Restored Antique Cigar Humidor With Humidity PadMilk Glass Liner

Beautifully refinished solid mahogany cigar humidor. Measures 11″ long x 7 1/2″ deep x 4 1/8 tall. Inside is 9 5/8″ long x 6 1/8″ deep x 2 3/4 tall. Sides are 7/16 thick and assembled using the half blind lap joint. Piano hinge in good working order. Exterior refinished with MinWax Satin Varnish and hand polished to a soft luster with 0000 steel wool and paste wax. Inside bottom and lid are lined with milk glass. Also includes humidity pad. Sides are lined with unfinished mahogany. All joints are solid. No cracks, scratches or splits in the wood. If you are interested in vintage items or small antiques, please check my other listings. Swift Humidor with stamped patent date “July 25, 82″ in bottom of liner. This humidor has a rich wood finish with very simple silver hardware and a pivoting handle. Its classic design is just as a desirable today as it was over hundred years ago. This humidor comes with a key and lock that that works, but due to the age of this box, it is tricky to get the lock to latch due to alignment issues. It will lock with a little manipulation. The rich finish is in good condition, as well as the hardware with some patina, which adds to the beauty of this humidor. Please see pictures for the actual condition of this fabulous piece. Up for sale is a wonderful antique silver-plated brass tobacco jar. It has a lovely design with a very intricate fruit trim wrapping the edge in high relief. The lid sits recessed into the base which is hallmarked underneath. It’s in nice condition and has a lovely shine. Measures 4 3/4 inches tall by 4 1/4 inches in diameter.
