Antique Rogers & Bro. Silver Plate Figural Dog Glass Eyes Cigar Box Humidor

Very Attractive Antique Rogers & Bro. Silver Plate Figural Dog Humidor. The box features a dog, possibly a pug, with glass eyes and a raised paw. It stands on spherical feet and has elaborate relief filigree with mythical faces along all sides. It has two compartments. One is hinged with a knob finial for cigar storage and the other, below the dog, is for storage of a damp sponge to keep tobacco moist. There is a vented wall between the two compartments and threaded fasteners securing the section of lid with the dog on it to the box. The bottom is marked Rogers & Bro. The silver is worn, but in otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 6L, 5 1/4W, 6H. The item “Antique Rogers & Bro. LARGE antique handmade Partagas table top burl wood marquetry cigar box humidor

Up for sale is a large high quality antique Partagas table top cigar box. It’s made by hand out of high quality burl wood and done with an inlaid marquetry design. The box is beautifully footed and has a working skeleton key lock on the front. It opens on a hinge and in nice condition measuring 16 1/2 inches by 16 1/2 inches by 5 inches tall. The box is missing a small piece of trim on the back corner, has a crack to the bottom interior, and missing the inside removable shelf. Which will be a charge of 7% due to New Jersey state law. Please make sure to look at all pictures very closely before purchasing, as most pieces in my shop are non refundable. Most items are antique or vintage and could have usual ware from age. Padgett & Braham Antique English sterling silver large handled cigar humidor box. Has 2 compartments, wood interior. Comes with the original cigar cutter and lighter inserts. P&B Ltd English sterling hallmarks throughout. Measures 9.25 inches x 6.5 inches. 2.75 inches tall not including the handle. Total weight is approximately 55 Troy Ounces. Condition: please note the cigar cutter needs a repair. Mechanism needs to fit into silver properly. There are also a couple of pin point dings on the box lid and on the sides.
