Tiger Oak & Brass Mount. A wonderful desk top cigar smokers cabinet constructed in beautifully grained Tiger Oak with intricate carved oak leaves and oak apples to doors. Brass mounts and handles, the brass shield cartouce to top is not engraved so could be personalized to make a wonderful gift. The twin doors open to reveal a fully fitted interior again with brass mount handles consisting of two draws for cigar storage. Tiger oak is more expensive than normal oak as it is taken from better wood and cut at such an angle to produce the tiger stripe effect therefor being used on the finest quality furniture. Dimensions: 10 1/2″(26.6cm) wide by 7 1/2″ (19cm) high by 7 1/2(19cm) deep. The cabinet is in beautiful condition, the lock is intact however alas no key. Magnificent Large Antique English Walnut Cigar Cabinet / Box / Humidor c. 1890

A superb large cigar cabinet with lovely arched glazed doors retaining the original bevelled glass. Made from the most stunning Burl Walnut timber, with a gorgeous grain and a warm, rich toffee colour. With polished brass swing handles to either side. The fronts of the three drawers have pairs of matching brass swing handles which create an attractive show through the glass. The interior of the drawers is lined in Cedar wood which is what kept cigars fresh; this is not officially a Humidor as these are modern inventions to regulate the humidity within; it is the Cedar lining that did this job well over 100 years ago. Each of the drawers has an adjustable / removable divider to customise the interior’s configuration. The cabinet comes complete with a working key.. A stunning box in excellent condition dating to c. A good size with a footprint measuring 11 3/4″ x 8 1/2″ and standing 11 1/2 tall.
