Up for sale is a nice high quality antique late 19th century figural cigar box. It’s done with very elaborate detailing, made of a silver plated brass, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The box has an exquisite figural scene depicted on every panel in high relief and is very intricate design. It’s lined with a cedar wooden lining and footed with circular legs. In nice antique condition and measures 7 3/4 inches long by 3 3/4 inches tall by 5 3/4 inches wide. Which will be a charge of 7% due to New Jersey state law. Please make sure to look at all pictures very closely before purchasing, as most pieces in my shop are non refundable. Most items are antique or vintage and could have usual ware from age. Antique Patent Dec 22, 1908 Humidor Tiger Oak Marble / or White Milk Glass? And some sort of Clay on top section. 11″ x 7 1/2″ x 5. Humidor is made of oak, then has another layer of a different kind of wood then has white milk glass or marble. Top/ lid has a clay type material as seen in pictures. Really well made and appears it should keep cigar really fresh. Has patent date under the lid on box. Good condition with normal wear with age, scuffs, scratches, and discoloration to the front from use and age. Key is wrong one but will lock the box, but will not unlock, So don’t lock it. May need locksmith / correct key?? Lock mechanism should work with correct key. Left screw is also stripped on the lock but is there and original to the box. Missing two feet which could easily be replaced or remove the old ones, not really needed. Antiques, Fine Art & Collectibles. Vintage Large 1930s Wooden Mahogany Humidor Milk Glass Lined Wood Cigar Box. DESCRIPTION Vintage large wooden mahogany humidor dating to the 1930’s and most likely British in origin. Lined internally with milk glass and a cedar ridge this large heavy mahogany cigar storage box retains its original sponge grill and inset brass handles. Complete with a working key, it locks securely. This would suit any cigar store or cigar collectors collection for both practical and aesthetic reasons. This could also be used to store dried flowers in as it had previously been used for. Unmarked but very similar to the old Benson and Hedges humidors and there are 4 small holes on the lid where the original makers or owners plaque would have been fixed. A fabulous addition to you vintage smoking room decor. MEASUREMENTS Humidor measures 19.5″ wide by 13.5″ deep by 13.25 tall and weighs 20lb 6oz. CONDITION This humidor is in good condition with no damage to the interior milk glass or filter. The outer wood shows a crack in the wood towards the bottom on the front. There is some damage to the wood at the edges, on the top, and throughout commensurate with age and use (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description). Antique Early Edwardian Period. Tiger Oak Brass Bound. A stunning late Victorian to early Edwardian period desk top campaign style cigar smokers cabinet constructed in beautifully grained English tiger oak with brass inlay cartouche to lid and protect sides and corners. The lid opens to reveal a fully fitted interior consisting of six compartments with movable separators for different size cigar storage finished. In stunning condition minus key. Dimensions: 17″(43.2cm) wide by 1 1 1/4″ (28.5cm) high by 4 1/4(10.8cm) deep. Tiger oak is more expensive than normal oak as it is taken from better wood and cut at such an angle to produce the tiger stripe effect therefor being used on the finest quality furniture. Campaign Furniture is a type of furniture made for travel. Historically, much of it was made for military campaigns. A similar type of furniture was made for naval service, and even for merchant ships, which allowed furnishings to be used in port or peacetime, but stowed out of harm’s way in action, or during rough weather.
