The box indicates on the bottom that the cigars were made at Factory 109, First District Nebraska. The sticker on the side states. The contents of this box have been taxpaid as cigars of Class R, as indicated by the Internal revenue(sic) stamp affixed. The NOTICE on the bottom of the box basically states that the cigar factory is compliant as to the laws of the manufacturing of cigars. The box lid label was made by F. It is interesting in that it has a lighthouse, palm trees and sail boats while Nebraska is land-locked. The box condition is that of a 100+ year old cigar box. The edge tape stating “Hand Made” is missing in spots and quite worn, the revenue stamp is torn; the inside paper lining is mostly gone and there is a nick in the front edge of the lid that was probably made when opening the box. It is still a very sturdy box. The item listed is used and vintage.
