TOP QUALITY ANTIQUE COROMANDEL WOOD DRESSING CASE VANITY CASE & JEWELLERY BOX by PARKINS & GOTTO of LONDON 11 3/4 inches (300mm) wide, by 8 1/2 inches (220mm) deep, by 5 inches (130mm) tall Coromandel wood throughout. Lid has “stand up” hinges (see photos), & mirror inside. Mirror has storage behind. Velvet lined, lift out tray, fitted with lidded compartments, (see photos). Good, antique condition with very light wear in keeping with its great age, but no damage. The hinges work as they should, and the lid opens and closes without issue. This is a Good Quality piece, and it would make a lovely display item and be a great addition to any collection. FINE ANTIQUE BRASS INLAID COROMANDEL WOOD CIGAR BOX HUMIDOR 1880 Cabinet Case. The box measures approx 6 3/4 inches (175mm) wide, by 7 inches (180mm) deep, by 4 1/2 inches (115mm) tall, and is made from Coromandel wood with delicate brass inlay, and inset brass handles at either side. The hinged lid has “stand up” hinges (see photos), and the interior is lined with mahogany. This beautiful antique cigar box. Is in good, antique condition with light wear and small restorations in keeping with its great age, but no damage. The hinges work as they should, and the lid is a good fit, and opens and closes without issue. Gorgeous, well hand crafted wooden walnut and brass table top cigar display box in excellent condition. There is a brass emblem for engraving, but there is no monogram. There are no deep scratches or discoloration of any kind, despite the piece being easily well over 100 years old. The inside is lined with stainless steel. The hinges are internal, allowing the lid to fit perfectly flush with the rim of the box. There is a lock but I do not have a key. May be used for any number of purposes. Or perhaps bonbons for the gentleman? I can’t affirm that it’s a cast bronze panel. I think it is a lighter metal, really, but it has the patina of bronze and is gorgeous. A wonderful idea for a Holiday gift! Very good to excellent condition for age and type, the old box top has not been dented nor damaged. The wood is nicely preserved and shows age and just the right amount of roughness. Dove-tailed joints on corners and a mitered corner for the top which frames the cast woodland scene well. Some scrapes on the bottom, consistent with age. There are supports on the interior sides which indicate there would have been a lift-out tray. That tray is no longer with the box.
