Engraved in French along the base: “Les Forces Aériennes Françaises de Grande Bretagne à leur chef le Colonel Pierre Coustey, Londres 5.3.1946 ” – “The French Air Forces of Great Britain to their leader Colonel Pierre Coustey, London 5.3.1946″. Pierre Coustey (Aviation Ace), promoted to Chief of Staff of the Free French Air Force at the headquarters based in London for 363 days, from April 1942 to March 1943.
