Fabulous antique 19th century Black Forest hand carved wood tobacco humidor. Decorated with finely carved whimsical farm scene, portraying a fully dimensional figure of a rooster standing on an upturned barrel. Meant to store cigars or tobacco, the humidor is carved in the form of a large lidded barrel. Ideal to use as a fantastic decorative accessory, a desk caddy in the office for example. The rooster motif is perfect to incorporate into French country or farm house decor. Measures 8 1/2″ tall x 7 1/4″ wide. In overall good antique condition with wear from age and use.
