Large antique cigar humidor. Germany, early 1900’s, made of wood and bronze. Depth : 6.5 in. Weight : 3lb & 3oz. Great overall condition, heavy, for 24 cigars, no key, 2 bronze ornaments missing : 1 on the front right and on on top. My name is Greg, I’m a French guy who had business in Charlotte NC for 3 years. Unfortunately, I had to move back to France because of a slow activity. I fell in love with the US, particulary Charlotte! So now my only goal is to return to Charlotte, and for that I want to export French furnitures and antiques there! This idea came because of my love for wood and history. It is a great area to find valuable furnitures and smalls because of the proximity of wealthy ski resorts like Megève and Chamonix Mont-Blanc. It is also close to Geneva (switzerland), about 45minutes by car. The Geneva area is one of the richest in Europe due to finance and whatchmaking. Italy’s not to far as well, 40 minutes. Delightful & RARE antique French Napoleon III or Victorian to early Edwardian era 8 3/8 tall cigar presenter box or smoker’s casket in the form of an OUTHOUSE, privy or latrine with front stairs & railing, carved door handle & latch, brass tack accenting and wonderful visual & decorative appeal! Not actually a humidor per se, there is no soaker or humidifier in this one. Isn’t this just to die for. Just in from France and you really can’t look at it without smiling. Open the door and inside is the actual seat, a hole that is likely to hold match sticks with a striker on the floor in front and fittings on the door itself to hold cigars. The lid also raises up to a small compartment for other accoutrement. A rare and delightfully mischievous little piece, don’t miss it! I haven’t tested to see if the striker works on a match but that would be the only real flaw if not. As you can see, this little treasure has been well cared for, likely displayed in a cabinet or vitrine for years and years. See pictures for all measurements. We’re easy to deal with. Very rare and luxury silver plated cigar box with a gold plated head horse on top. Wooden interior with removable parts to fits it to your needing. Made by Hermes in France, fully marked, circa 1970s, very hard to find. Written on base Banco do Brasil, Paris. 1972 1982 that means it was gift from Bank of Brazil in Paris in the 1970s. 19cm wide X 12,7cm depth x 3cm high. All, original, very good+ pre-owned, has some minor wear from general usage, no important damage or dents. Great overall condition, please see pictures. Fantastic & rare antique French Napoleon III era Empire Revival style 11 3/8 cigar box, tantalus or presenter in solid oak with brass accenting, a spectacular bronze Blackamoor style Middle Eastern figure & dog with his tent! Isn’t this one magnificent! A rare early piece, this one in solid old growth European oak and the figures are both heavy, solid bronze (not the bronze patinated white metal you see in later pieces). Influenced by the Napoleonic French Empire, when the Oriental campaigns introduced foreign styles, figures and goods. The gent dressed rather opulently, smoking a pipe and seated on what appears to be a drum. One of our finest right now, don’t miss it! Very good condition, age considered. You can see there there are one or two missing brass strip accents and some tarnish here and there. A few age or drying splits or cracks but in overall great shape. The figures are both pristine, the seated figure’s bolt on the base of the box is a replacement though. The interior of the box with the original cigar fittings. Original lock and there is a key but it doesn’t seem to turn the mechanism. See pictures for all measurements. We’re easy to deal with. You are very important! Our fine inventory is very important.
