ANTIQUE FRENCH FROM SARREGUEMINES FIGURAL DUENDE GNOME ELF DWARF PIPE EN BOIS. TOBACCO, JAR, POT, BOX, CASE, HUMIDOR, PIPE HOLDER. THE HAT SEEMS TO BE BROKEN, BUT IS LIKE THAT. IS IN PERFECT CONDITIONS. BUYERS CAN CHECK IN THE INTERNET ABOUT THIS FIGURE WITH THIS WORDS: (PIPE EN BOIS CASTIGATE SIFFLENDO). I SHOW HERE PART OF THE TEXT. VERY GOOD IN GENERAL, SOME SLIGHT SIGNS OF USE. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS AS IMPORTANT PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. TO RELEASE THEM THEY CAN DELAY FROM A WEEK UP TO 1 MONTH. NOTE : IF YOU ARE PLEASED GIVE ME A FULL DASBOARD FEEDBACK. ALL THE PROBLEMS CAN BE SOLVED. Vintage French Leather Bound Books Smokers Box, Presenter for Cigars, Histoire de France. All items and photos are the express property of Antiques & Uncommon Treasure. No reproduction without prior written consent. We’ll be sending out sale notices and special deals to our’Favorites’ customers. Fabulous vintage French smoker’s presenter box with hidden storage for cigars & cigarettes or cheroots in the from of a stack of antique leather bound books, this one with actual individual leaves or pages in the lid, gilt embossed bindings including a crown topped armorial style crest on the lid, entitled Histoire De France and in wonderful condition! Quite unique, we’ve offered these in the past and they always sell as quickly as we can get them listed. With the look of two old leather bound volumes but hidden inside is a dual-lidded compartment for cigars in the base and fittings for cigarettes or cheroots under each lid! As realistic as they get and, I’m sure the top book is genuine with several individual pages in the top! Open the lid and there are numerous individual pages above the lower smoker’s compartment. The first page entitled Histoire De France by Tome Septieme and a bit further in is the Parisian editor information and an ink stamp in the top right corner of that page. The bindings are somewhat aged but gilt or gold leaf lettered and the set is in great condition, age considered! Also a gold embossed stamp on the base of “Made in France”. Good to very good condition, age & materials considered. As said, these are two actual antique texts but we think the conversion is vintage. A few spots at the edges of the bindings with some wear and/or damage but, as you can see, it’s in overall wonderful condition. There is a bit of tearing to the right side of a few pages just above the compartments, all visible in images. See pictures for all measurements. We’re easy to deal with. You are very important! Our fine inventory is very important. And your ranking of our performance is also very important! We wish to keep our 4.9 – 5 star ratings in all categories. Antique French Cigar Chest, Presentation Box, Fitted Shelves, Napoleon III, Victorian. All items and photos are the express property of Antiques & Uncommon Treasure. No reproduction without prior written consent. We’ll be sending out sale notices and special deals to our’Favorites’ customers. Gorgeous cigar tantalus from Napoleon III era c. 1850-70 or mid-Victorian era. This French made chest is fitted with cigar-mount pull-out shelves enough to hold 36 full-sized cigars. Beautifully crafted, but not in pristine condition at this time, it’s a bargain and really does present nicely in spite of a few flaws. I’ve marked those with “x” on our photos for your review. The photographer shows it with 2 keys inside, but just one will fit and only one key will be sent out with the box. The top and front both hinge up and down to open for use. Measurements noted on the photos. Good condition for age and type. The box has a beautiful boulle worked brass and mother of pearl cartouche, set in accents of black and brown woods. An engraved monogram that looks to me to be “T S” in set therein. The burl walnut veneer is accented by 2 other wood grain veneers on the top of the box, and accented by contrasting stringing. A pencil-edging in wood finished the edging beautifully to that slightly convex lid. There is a little disruption around the escutcheon (key hole) as visible in our images, and there is a section of missing veneer on bottom of one side – marked for your review. Slight imperfections otherwise, signs of age, noted in the photos. There are 3 shelves that have a hairline, or break. All function fine as you see them. This is not a pristine example, but priced accordingly. There is an engraved signature on the lockplate, but I can’t read it. Overall, even with a few flaws, a really beautiful old treasure! We’re easy to deal with. You are very important! Our fine inventory is very important. And your ranking of our performance is also very important! We wish to keep our 4.9 – 5 star ratings in all categories. We always insure our items BUT, more importantly, pack them extremely well knowing that most are not replaceable.
