This is a nice antique Cigar Humidor box (see photos). The item looks to be make of Mahogany wood and it has nice mounts that look to be silver plated to me (see photos). The item is antique (see photos). The item has a lock on it and it is open, but I do not have a key (see photos). The item has a mount on each upper and lower corner with the word Cigars written in metal cursive script on the top of the box (see photos). The item would make a welcome addition to your collection (see photos). The item is in as found condition. The item in total measures about 5 inches high, about 7 inches from the front edge to the back side at the top and 10 and 3/4ths inches wide from side to side. The metal word cigars has a break in the lettering and it looks as if there should be more metal around the top of the key ole etscheon that is missing? High quality antique handmade wood brass cigar tobacco humidor holder box case

Up for sale is a high quality antique 19th century wooden cigar box. It’s made by hand out of a varnished oak wood and has thick brass appliqués on each corner and edge. The lid opens on hinges exposing the lovely reticulated metal interior and has a mechanism on the side that stops the lid from opening over 90 degrees. It also has a very detailed solid brass pivoting carry handle mounted to the top of the lid. It’s in very nice condition, has acquired a great patina from age and measures 12 inches long by 7 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches tall. It is missing the key for the locking. Rare Rockwell Kent’Sally’ Art Deco Cigar Box. 1928 rare Rockwell Kent’Sally’ Art Deco cigar Box. The image on the lid of the box is attributed to Rockwell Kent, a famous early 20th c. The image depicts Sally Kent Gorton his wife and widow. The image was designed in 1928 for an A. Spalding & Brothers (men’s only store – 520 Fifth Avenue, NY) magazine advertisement. There are very few of this particular box available. Rockwell Kent had the image etched in the lids of some brass boxes, made by Chase Brass and Copper Company and gave them out as gifts to friends and business associates. This particular box has been well cared for. The inside of the is clean and in very good condition and I guess re-felted. The brass on the outside has developed a nice patina and has other signs of normal age. The box is marked A. Spalding & Bros on the front rim and EPCO on the back rim E. Is The East Prospect Cigar Company, Pennsylvania. Approximate dimensions: 18cm wide x 14cm deep x6.5 cm high. Collection/couriers always welcome from PE14 9PF, however we do not arrange the courier service but can recommend someone. Please do not use myHermes or similar – these are for easily wrapped parcels – not larger bits of furniture or items marked as collection only. By courier we mean a man with a van!
