Alfred Klitgaard – Denmark. Large Rosewood Cigar Box / Humidor. 7 x 37,5 x 18 cm. / 2,76 x 14,76 x 7,09 inches. Produced in the 1970s. Alfred Klitgaard was originally trained as a cabinet maker, but he gave up furniture and threw his love into small boxes and other useful items made of wood. It is characteristic of Klitgaard’s jewelry boxes and all the other boxes he makes that they are not designed in strange shapes – they are just square, as boxes usually are. Boxes in absolute top quality. One of AK’s special features of craftmanship are the wood-hinges made without the use of visible metal. AF’s has collaborated with various danish enamel-artists. Bodil Eje, Maria Viktor & Henning Koppel. Danish VAT Margin scheme – Second Hand “VINTAGE” item.
