Antiques, Fine Art & Collectibles. Vintage Large Lacquer 150 Humidor Dome Top Art Deco Style 80s Era Two Tiered Box. DESCRIPTION Original dome top wooden cigar humidor box. Empty humidor box made from multiple wood veneers and lacquer on the outside complete with original working digital hygrometer and two moisture pads. The inside is lined with cedar to retain the moisture levels and there is a pull out tray to reveal a secondary layer underneath. The top side of the box is decorated with a striped design which is reminiscent of the Art Deco revival in the 1980s. A great addition to any smoking room, man cave or bar area. This would make a great early holiday gift. MEASUREMENTS Wooden humidor measures 9″ wide by 15″ long by 10 tall weighs 11lb 10oz. CONDITION In good condition and ready to use with wear commensurate with age (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description). Louis XV Rocaille style. France, Mid-1900’s, made of wood. Great overall condition, really big and heavy, nice Rocaille style carvings, probably probably for cigars. My name is Greg, I’m a French guy who had business in Charlotte NC for 3 years. Unfortunately, I had to move back to France because of a slow activity. I fell in love with the US, particulary Charlotte! So now my only goal is to return to Charlotte, and for that I want to export French furnitures and antiques there! This idea came because of my love for wood and history. It is a great area to find valuable furnitures and smalls because of the proximity of wealthy ski resorts like Megève and Chamonix Mont-Blanc. Large Antique English Sterling Silver Mounted Oak Cigar Box / Humidor 1903
A really good sized cigar box made from solid English Oak, all the fittings are made from solid silver including the handle. Each of the silver mounts is hallmarked for London 1903 together with the makers mark (unidentified). The key is turned to the right which releases both lids to be opened. The lids snap shut and automatically locked so you should ensure never to leave the key inside the box and close! The cedar lining is the original way to ensure the freshness of cigars; not a humidor as such as they are a modern day invention. There is one large compartment and the left hand side has a divider that can be moved or removed to create a second large compartment. Edwardian in era and remaining in excellent condition measuring 11 3/4″ x 8 1/4″ x 7 1/4 to top of handle. This item is in the category “Antiques\Other Antiques”.
