DESCRIPTION Vintage large wooden mahogany humidor dating to the 1930’s and most likely British in origin. Lined internally with milk glass and a cedar ridge this large heavy mahogany cigar storage box retains its original sponge grill and inset brass handles. Complete with a working key, it locks securely. This would suit any cigar store or cigar collectors collection for both practical and aesthetic reasons. This could also be used to store dried flowers in as it had previously been used for. Unmarked but very similar to the old Benson and Hedges humidors and there are 4 small holes on the lid where the original makers or owners plaque would have been fixed. A fabulous addition to you vintage smoking room decor. MEASUREMENTS Humidor measures 19.5″ wide by 13.5″ deep by 13.25 tall and weighs 20lb 6oz. CONDITION This humidor is in good condition with no damage to the interior milk glass or filter. The outer wood shows a crack in the wood towards the bottom on the front. There is some damage to the wood at the edges, on the top, and throughout commensurate with age and use (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description). Antique Early Edwardian Period. Tiger Oak Brass Bound. A stunning late Victorian to early Edwardian period desk top campaign style cigar smokers cabinet constructed in beautifully grained English tiger oak with brass inlay cartouche to lid and protect sides and corners. The lid opens to reveal a fully fitted interior consisting of six compartments with movable separators for different size cigar storage finished. In stunning condition minus key. Dimensions: 17″(43.2cm) wide by 1 1 1/4″ (28.5cm) high by 4 1/4(10.8cm) deep. Tiger oak is more expensive than normal oak as it is taken from better wood and cut at such an angle to produce the tiger stripe effect therefor being used on the finest quality furniture. Machine painted SAILFISH with 3 coats of ultra-clear top grade lacquer and our. Fusion baked finish is applied to protect this very nice cigar box. It has brass hinges and magnetic clasps and the Lid Seats Perfectly on Box it also has a removable tray. The tray was left unfinished so the aroma of the Cedar is prominent. This is a Spanish cedar box and the box is in new Condition. Felt pads have been applied to prevent table scratching. This box will hold 150 to about 300 cigars depending on the size of the cigars. Rare tin litho over wood, country store advertising humidor for Buck Cigars. Lockable cover with hinged lid reveals tin interior with side vents. Outer skin made of tin with a faux wood finish& inner tin liner all over wood. Great graphics proclaiming “Buck Cigars” “King of the Range”, “Good To Keep Good Cigars Good”. Lock is intact but with no key. The spring in the lock that pops it away from the chest when unlocked still works. Handles are made of brass and can be left flat to the side or straight out to the side. The corners and edges of box trimmed in brass. The side vents both slide open& closed smoothly. DOZENS of close up pictures taken with& without a flash to try to capture all the details to this large detailed chest. Size: H 18″, W 27″, D 20. NER Railway Co Model Coal Wagon 1902 Table Humidor CIGAR Oak Box LARGE. Colours may differ due to any flash used. Please check the postal DATE mark on the package when you get it. Antique oak and metal model of. Coal wagon which is quite large. Made to be on a table with cigars – cigarettes – matches inside. Probably given by the railway companies to high end clients and contractors. Well modelled with metal wheels and buffers with a hinged lid which has the key and lock still working. On the very top it has partial remains of actual COAL. It does have an ” eye ” or ” hook ” missing from one end between the buffers. Initials are painted on the oak panels and it is numbered. Probably not a date but the actual wagon number. Really well made model very life like with the panels of oak and brass pins holding it all together. It has great patina does the oak. Hinge up the lid to see two compartments inside and the match holder, match striker paper and another little compartment in the centre too. In overall fabulous antique condition. The other was a. You can google these and you may see a couple on line. There is a small bit of wood missing near the hinge part, the coal missing off the top and the hook or eye off one end. It is 13 inch long overall from buffer to buffer x 6 inch wide x 6 and a quarter inch tall. Please see close up pictures for more detail.
