Solid Cedar Tobacco Case w/. Brass All Brass Fixtures. Probably Was For Commercial Use. Offered is an antique solid cedar tobacco / cigar transportation box. The very well constructed case measures 13″ x 9″ and has the interior rails for a tray. The exterior is stained a golden brown but the interior is full, natural untreated cedar. All of the joinery is very tight. The lid is spiked to the base to prevent lateral movement when closed. All of the corners as well as 2 padlock hasps, the top handle, and the hinges are brass. There is a thumb latch that is only designed to keep the lid sealed but not locked. Since the case has two padlock hasps, it suggests that the case itself was used to transport fine cigars. Very nice example of a rare solid cedar cigar transportation case. You are protected against damaged or broken items or items different than pictured.
