Heavy and quality for size – inside top and bottom lined in white (I think possible white glass) or other hard sealed material. As you can see it is very nice and clean on the interior -has beautiful multi color tone mahogany woods and wonderful banded inlay. Condition – The monogram top name plaque was removed by family – (read specifics above – it is in over all very nice as seen in pictures original condition with some minor clear lacquer wear on top edge seen in picture #5). CARVED WOODEN TOBACCO BOX / HUMIDOR. About 9 3/4″ x 6″ x 5 1/2. Mahogany wooden humidor, carved on all four sides and the top. Oval cameo of tobacco smoking pipes on the lid. Carved in the form of an iron-bound chest, with intricately textured sides, and iron bands, complete with attaching wooden screws. Inside lined with silvery gray paper. Still retains the old tobacco odor. Best guess for age is last quarter 19th century. Some surface wear, especially around the corners and edges (all visible in the images). Rich, dark age patina. Marked on the out- and in-side Davidoff and Grande Réserve. The box measures about 35x27cm and 16cm in height. The box is in as found condition, untouched, uncleaned, with traces of its age and use. We have for sale a rectangle shape wood humidor box that I believe is made out of mahogany. This is vintage and came from a nice clean estate sale. The inside is lined with milk glass and is not cracked or chipped. The hinges work properly. Unfortunately we do not have the key for this. I really dont believe it would be difficult to find a skeleton key to work. This is vintage and shows the usual vintage wear that one should expect of an antique humidor. The overall outside dimensions with the lid closed are 11-3/4 x 8 x 4-3/4. Not exactly sure why it has the vintage fragile sign on the milk glass. I guess milk glass is fragile, but Im not positive that that sign is original to the manufacture of the box. Whatever the case, I think its kind a cool! This box is not cheaply made and is well constructed. Please look at all pictures closely for details, thanks for looking! It’s made out of a rich colored mahogany with ornate open worked plated metal corners and has acquired a lovely sheen patina from age. The lid opens on dual hinges and is lined with an early traditional tin humidor lining that has wings in the back for a humidor stone. It’s in nice antique condition and measures 10 inches long by 6 3/4 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. The box has a square key entry but is missing the original key. It’s made out of a high glossed mahogany wood and is a large humidor measuring 12 3/4 inches long by 9 inches tall by 9 inches wide. The box’s lid opens on brass hinges and has a brass key lock on the face. It also has a drawer underneath with a brass finger hole handle which actually locks closed when the lid shuts with a hidden mechanism. The lid and drawer are lined with milk glass bottoms along with under the lid. It’s in great condition but the box is missing the key. SUPERB and RARE large antique Victorian Edwardian Mahogany Humidor / Cigar Box

SUPERB large ANTIQUE Mahogany CIGAR humidor/box. Hi and welcome to my listing for this wonderful antique Edwardian cigar box. Pieces like this’ in this condition are becoming increasingly hard to find and it is a lovely example. The box is made from Mahogany. It has the word Cigar in white metal attached to the top of the lid and four plaques around the edge of the lid (note – the plaques have no inscriptions so the new owner could get these engraved if they so wished). There is also a lock (sadly no key). The box measures (externally) 11 inches (280 mm) long X 7 inches (180 mm) wide and stands 4.25 inches (110 mm) high. Internally the box has a sectional, non-removable lining with three possible positions for the dividing piece. The total internal length is 9 inches (228 mm), width 5 inches (125 mm) with the depth being about 2.5 inches (60 mm). The dividing strip may be placed in the middle or 3.25 inches (80 mm) in from either end which would give just over 5.5 inches (142 mm) for the larger section. I’d say the box is in very good/excellent condition for it’s age – the bottom of the box is not finished off as well as the main body or internal section so perhaps there was a felt base on the piece originally (there is a small remnant of some covering). Overall a superb original example would look great on a desk or study. Very stylish and usable and could even be used as a presentation piece with the plaques around the lid. Original finish, the wood is Mahogany. Beveled Edge Lid with a Silver Plaque No Monogram. Silver front Lock Plate with Key. This is an excellent quality 1900s table top humidor with a bright metal interior that has a mirror like finish and appearance. The top plate and front lock cover are a silver colored metal that are tarnished and. Un – marked as to its metal or its purity or composition un-tested. This is a true vintage / antique found in a local estate. The key was taped inside and when I tried the key it operated fine.
