The sides of box are decorated with flowers and leaves in the Aesthetic Movement style. The box is raised on 4 bun feet. The pair of gracefully posed dancers are modeled with intricate detail. The partition separating the compartment for a sponge is perforated for circulation of moisture. Partition is slightly bent. Overall condition very good. This box could also be used for jewelry as the dancing figures would look at home on a dressing table.
