Beautiful antique Meriden sliver plate humidor / cigar box. The item is featured with a hunting dog carrying a rabbit. The item is very rare and highly collectible. The lid sits nice and tight, and it is complete with the divider bar which holds the sponges. The lock appears in tact but missing the key. Stunning in its presentation this humidor would be the crown jewel for any cigar aficionado. Measures 7″ X 6.5″ X 6.5 including the height of the dog. Great patina I will leave it up to you to clean. Very Attractive Antique Rogers & Bro. Silver Plate Figural Dog Humidor. The box features a dog, possibly a pug, with glass eyes and a raised paw. It stands on spherical feet and has elaborate relief filigree with mythical faces along all sides. It has two compartments. One is hinged with a knob finial for cigar storage and the other, below the dog, is for storage of a damp sponge to keep tobacco moist. There is a vented wall between the two compartments and threaded fasteners securing the section of lid with the dog on it to the box. The bottom is marked Rogers & Bro. The silver is worn, but in otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 6L, 5 1/4W, 6H. The item “Antique Rogers & Bro. Antique ornate silver plate brass Dutch figural dresser cigar humidor vanity box

Up for sale is a nice high quality antique late 19th century figural cigar box. It’s done with very elaborate detailing, made of a silver plated brass, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The box has an exquisite figural scene depicted on every panel in high relief and is very intricate design. It’s lined with a cedar wooden lining and footed with circular legs. In nice antique condition and measures 7 3/4 inches long by 3 3/4 inches tall by 5 3/4 inches wide. Which will be a charge of 7% due to New Jersey state law. Please make sure to look at all pictures very closely before purchasing, as most pieces in my shop are non refundable. Most items are antique or vintage and could have usual ware from age. HUMIDOR CIGAR BOX SILVER PLATE MERIDEN VICTORIAN 1886. Dimensions 6 inches wide, 3-1/2in. A silver plated humidor box mounted with a dancing couple in 18th C. By Meriden Britannia Co. The sides of box are decorated with flowers and leaves in the Aesthetic Movement style. The box is raised on 4 bun feet. The pair of gracefully posed dancers are modeled with intricate detail. The partition separating the compartment for a sponge is perforated for circulation of moisture. Partition is slightly bent. Overall condition very good. This box could also be used for jewelry as the dancing figures would look at home on a dressing table.
