Rare Antique Lacquer Mother of Pearl Abalone Cigar Humidor Box Cabinet
This is an antique cedar humidor with a black lacquered finish and inlaid abalone and mother of pearl design. It features 4 doors that open to reveal cigar holder compartments. Each door has space for 6 cigars. There is also a drawer that opens at the bottom for additional storage. A very unique and unusual piece. Age and origin are unknown but appear to be English circa late 1800s, Victorian period based on other boxes with similar design. Would likely be best as a decorative piece for a collector as the doors do not close properly. Could also be repurposed to use as storage for other items or home decor. Condition: Excellent antique condition, wear commensurate with age and use. Doors do not close properly, wood has warped over time and it is off kilter. Abalone/Mother of pearl is largely intact. 19th Century French Twelve-Cigar Holder Box with Brass Mounts and Music Box circa 1860. Elegant antique rosewood box from France, circa 1870; the twelve cigars holder features a rotating top finial with open and close mechanism where music can be heard. The outside of all six doors features brass mounts with music instruments including a lyre, horn and flute, and the base has two rows of brass beads. Inside each door, there are brass mounts which can hold up to three cigars. The music box is activated with a key under the bottom. Excellent condition with rich patina. Measures: 8″ dia x 12″ H. Key for the music box winder is missing, however the music mechanism (Swiss made) is still working fine. There are some brass cigar mounts missing see photos please. Antique Patent Dec 22, 1908 Humidor Tiger Oak Marble / or White Milk Glass? And some sort of Clay on top section. 11″ x 7 1/2″ x 5. Humidor is made of oak, then has another layer of a different kind of wood then has white milk glass or marble. Top/ lid has a clay type material as seen in pictures. Really well made and appears it should keep cigar really fresh. Has patent date under the lid on box. Good condition with normal wear with age, scuffs, scratches, and discoloration to the front from use and age. Key is wrong one but will lock the box, but will not unlock, So don’t lock it. May need locksmith / correct key?? Lock mechanism should work with correct key. Left screw is also stripped on the lock but is there and original to the box. Missing two feet which could easily be replaced or remove the old ones, not really needed. Vintage Partagas 150 Don Ramon Book Humidor #86 of 1000. In 1995, General Cigar Co. Released the Partagas 150 Signature Series to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Partagas brand in Cuba. The Partagas 150 Signature cigar used a very special 1977 vintage 18 year old Cameroon wrapper. They instantly became acquired by collectors and were hailed as the first cigar that could compete with the most famous and legendary Cubans. The Don Ramon: 7 x 52 Churchill, was the rarest of the 150 Series with only 10,000 cigars produced. Each special cigar was encased in a cedar box inscribed with the signature of Partagas renowned master blender, Ramon Cifuentes. Ten cigars were then presented in Specially Numbered Varnished Book Humidor’s. As seen, this Book Humidor is in great condition with minor shelf wear and will. 1928 RARE Rockwell Kent Sally Art Deco Cigar Box. The outside of the box is brass and the inside is lined with wood. The image on the front is attributed ti Rockwell Kent, a famous artist, print maker and writer, 1882 1971. The image depicts Sally (Sally Kent Gorton) his wife and widow. The image was designed in 1928 for an A. Spalding & Brothers magazine advertisement. Epicts Sally (Sally Kent Gorton) his wife and widow. There are very few of this particular box available. Rockwell Kent had the image etched in the lids of some brass boxes and gave them out as gifts to friends and business associates. This particular box has been well cared for. The inside of the is clean and in very good condition. The brass on the outside has developed a nice patina and has other signs of normal age. The lid is also still very well attached with a good working hinge. It is about 2 5/8 inches by 5.5 inches by 7 1/8 inches. The box is marked A. Up for sale is a very rare antique signed Dunhill porcelain and wooden tobacco humidor/jar. It’s made in a square box style format with 4 hand painted inlaid panels. The porcelain panels are done with a realistic approach and rich color depicting intricate bird scenes. It has a carved wooden spring loaded lid that turns to lock tightly into place when not being opened. When the lid is removed it exposes the metal lining that has some slight paint loss. It’s signed on the bottom by Dunhill and measures 7 1/4 inches tall by 5 1/2 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches long. In very nice used condition. Which will be a charge of 7% due to New Jersey state law. Please make sure to look at all pictures very closely before purchasing, as most pieces in my shop are non refundable. Most items are antique or vintage and could have usual ware from age.
