A handsome vintage British sterling silver cigar/cigarette humidor box crafted by Birmingham maker John Rose. Hinged lid with engine turned texture and central Lancaster Castle souvenir image, with wood lined interior. 1.5″h x 4.5″l x 3.5w, weighs approx. In good/fair vintage condition, displaying general light surface wear, silver tarnish, and some scattered dents/dings, the wood lining has also warped so that the lid does not close flush with the box – see pictures. This antique cigar humidor is a true gem for collectors of vintage tobacciana. The piece features a stunning sterling silver top and is lined with milk glass to keep your cigars fresh. The sterling top of the humidor weighs approximately 3.7 troy ounces. The humidor is approximately 9 1/2 inches long by 4 1/4 inches wide by 2/2 inches tall not including the sterling knob. This is a very unusual humidor, lined with milk glass. There are four tiny holes on the bottom in the corners, there may have been feet on the humidor. Humidor is in good Used vintage condition. There is a triangle with a monogram. It looks like an ornate B. We have shown a mark of the sterling top. We do not know who the maker is. Great looking piece, fresh from a local estate. Any payments received for orders on those days will be processed on the following Tuesday afternoon. Our regular brick and mortar store hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 12 noon to 6pm.
