Fantastic antique late Victorian to early Edwardian era solid old growth European oak & Gothic Revival style brass straps 11.5″ smoker’s chest, box with “Cigars plaque, interior partition and wonderful condition! This exceptional Edwardian-era smoker’s chest showcases the finest craftsmanship of its period. Constructed from solid old growth European oak with authentic Gothic Revival brass straps, this 11.5 box exudes timeless elegance and period authenticity. The piece features a decorative “Cigars” plaque adorning the lid and includes a thoughtfully designed interior partition to organize and preserve your collection. The wood displays the rich patina and character only decades of careful aging can achieve. In wonderful condition, this functional decorative treasure bridges storage and style for the discerning collector of Edwardian antiques and smoking memorabilia. There are a few small sections of the brass strap accents missing, notably on rear lower corner of the right side and corresponding strap on the back/rear of the box. The inner wooden partition may be a later replacement, the interior appears to be lined in mahogany. Heavy solid old growth oak, beautiful patina. See images for all measurements.
