A copper-plated brass souvenir cigar box, cedar lined, the lid engraved with a map depicting the battlefields of Europe, and titled V. World War II Battlefields of Europe. Stamped on the bottom of the box, “Granger Made in Egypt, ” and Brass used in the manufacture of this box was salvaged from the battle fields of World War II. A fascinating relic of World War II commemorating the end of the war. CIGAR BOX HUMIDOR Hand painted HEAVY BASE VINTAGE ANTIQUE rare unique unusual

Vintage / Antique – age unknown. Outside – 28 cm long, 8 cm wide, and 6 cm high. Inside – 25 cm long, 5 cm wide. Size infers it was made to fit premium quality Cuban-type cigars. Heavy 1110 grams in weight. I think it has a porcelain base – which makes sense as a material that would help maintain inside temperature (humidor) under the decoration. It is a really lovely box – looks and feels like a quality piece – especially so with the substantial weight of materials used. Unlike plain timber vintage/antique cigar boxes it looks good AND is made of materials that help maintain the inside temperature. I used the word’Rare’ because I was unable to find anything even remotely comparable through online searches. If you can find anything similar, please let me know. I have for sale a well-used antique wooden box. It has inlaid diamond designs, using fine grained woods. The top lid opens to a removable tray with five compartments. That has dovetail joint construction. The front of the box has a lock, but I don’t have the key for it. I believe it was made in United States, sometime in 19th century or earlier. Approximate dimensions are: 9 1/8″ long, 5 1/8″ wide, and 5 1/2 tall. This is a finely handcrafted woodwork. That has an unusual design. The item “Antique Inlaid Wood Box.
