Vintage French Leather Bound Books Smokers Box, Presenter for Cigars, Histoire de France. All items and photos are the express property of Antiques & Uncommon Treasure. Fabulous vintage French smoker’s presenter box with hidden storage for cigars & cigarettes or cheroots in the from of a stack of antique leather bound books, this one with actual individual leaves or pages in the lid, gilt embossed bindings including a crown topped armorial style crest on the lid, entitled Histoire De France and in wonderful condition! Quite unique, we’ve offered these in the past and they always sell as quickly as we can get them listed. With the look of two old leather bound volumes but hidden inside is a dual-lidded compartment for cigars in the base and fittings for cigarettes or cheroots under each lid! As realistic as they get and, I’m sure the top book is genuine with several individual pages in the top! Open the lid and there are numerous individual pages above the lower smoker’s compartment. The first page entitled Histoire De France by Tome Septieme and a bit further in is the Parisian editor information and an ink stamp in the top right corner of that page. The bindings are somewhat aged but gilt or gold leaf lettered and the set is in great condition, age considered! Also a gold embossed stamp on the base of “Made in France”. Good to very good condition, age & materials considered. As said, these are two actual antique texts but we think the conversion is vintage. A few spots at the edges of the bindings with some wear and/or damage but, as you can see, it’s in overall wonderful condition. There is a bit of tearing to the right side of a few pages just above the compartments, all visible in images. See pictures for all measurements. We’re easy to deal with. You are very important! We have for sale a rectangle shape wood humidor box that I believe is made out of mahogany. This is vintage and came from a nice clean estate sale. The inside is lined with milk glass and is not cracked or chipped. The hinges work properly. Unfortunately we do not have the key for this. I really dont believe it would be difficult to find a skeleton key to work. This is vintage and shows the usual vintage wear that one should expect of an antique humidor. The overall outside dimensions with the lid closed are 11-3/4 x 8 x 4-3/4. Not exactly sure why it has the vintage fragile sign on the milk glass. I guess milk glass is fragile, but Im not positive that that sign is original to the manufacture of the box. Whatever the case, I think its kind a cool! This box is not cheaply made and is well constructed. Please look at all pictures closely for details, thanks for looking! Vintage Custom Handmade Large & Heavy Wooden Cigar Humidor Box. Approximate measurements 17.5″ long x 11.5″ deep x 5.75 tall I acquired this from a wonderful gentleman. He and his family owned a popular restaurant in Miami. From what he told me it was quite a popular place and they even filmed a TV show in it many times. This beautiful humidor was given as a gift to him. As you can see from the pictures it is jet black with a mirror finish. The overall condition especially given its age I would say is very nice. It has what I would consider normal but very light wear. The inside smells absolutely wonderful. Please let me know if I can answer any questions and check my store for other great items. Up for sale is an extremely high quality vintage handmade Arts and Crafts cigar box. It’s made out of a hand carved mahogany base and completely embellished with ornate Arts and Crafts detailing throughout. The box has very thick forged steel sides with copper appliqués and hardware all held with exquisite brass riveting. It has elaborate pivoting handles on each side made of brass and copper mounts and a hinged lock on the face. The box opens on a hinge and is lined with a thick stainless steel lining. It’s in exquisite condition and is extremely heavy. Measures 13 inches long by 8 1/2 inches wide by 5 7/8 inches tall. It may have has a removable shelf inside.
