John McCullough Cigar Box. Strickland & Van Ness, 93 Warren St, NY. This highly unusual and RARE cigar box has the government wrap dated 1883. What makes it unusual is that it is for John McCollough cigars. McCollough was an Irish immigrant stage actor that was very popular at the time. However, just one year after this cigar box is dated, he had a breakdown onstage that marked the public beginning of his descent into madness. He was committed and died in 1885. Even more interestingly, John Wilkes Booth was a close friend of the actor. Booth performed at a benefit for McCullough just one month before assassination Lincoln, McCullough was even interview about his friend after the fact. Size: 8.63 inches long, 4.5 wide, 2.75 inches tall. Nice original condition, original paper labels intact with wear, see photos. Thompson & Co 1915 Glass And Cherry Wood Barrel Top Cigar Humidor Box w/Key / Le Veil Humidifier / Ash Tray. Condition: Very good pre-owned condition (see comments below). Measurements: 16 wide x 10 deep x 8.5 tall. Material: wood and glass. Lock and key (works). Premium Spanish cedar lining. 1 Spanish cedar divider. Le Veil electronic rechargeable humidifier. Glass ashtray (heavy mirrored glass). This humidor is in very good condition with only minor scratches on the top on the left-hand side (photo 3). There is a very small smudge on the glass on the right-hand side close to the front (photo 4). The cedar divider has a sticky residue in one corner and the key has slight discoloration which is not visible when the key is in the lock (photo 16). There is a piece of velcro adhered to the back which may have held the humidifier cable; I have not attempted to remove it (photo 17). I would consider the issues listed above minor with some hardly noticeable. The humidor is solidly built and heavy. The lock works perfectly. You will also receive a Le Veil iCigar Hybrid electronic, rechargeable humidifier, model # DCH-22. It’s in very good pre-owned condition. It comes with a wall power cable and a USB cable. You will also receive a very heavy glass cigar ashtray and a cigar cutter. Please be sure to view all the photos as these are the exact items you will be receiving. Thank you for your interest.

A Very Nice Rare Antique Early O. Zim Green Smokers Brass Hinged Embossed Dovetail Flip Top Cigar Box District of Connecticut Factory #74. All writing is embossed. Has writing on front, sides, bottom and both inner and outer top lid. Top lid has darkened more than the rest with age. Measures: 9-1/2″W x 5-1/4″D x 3-1/4H.
