TOP QUALITY ANTIQUE COROMANDEL WOOD DRESSING CASE VANITY CASE & JEWELLERY BOX by PARKINS & GOTTO of LONDON 11 3/4 inches (300mm) wide, by 8 1/2 inches (220mm) deep, by 5 inches (130mm) tall Coromandel wood throughout. Lid has “stand up” hinges (see photos), & mirror inside. Mirror has storage behind. Velvet lined, lift out tray, fitted with lidded compartments, (see photos). Good, antique condition with very light wear in keeping with its great age, but no damage. The hinges work as they should, and the lid opens and closes without issue. This is a Good Quality piece, and it would make a lovely display item and be a great addition to any collection. FINE ANTIQUE BRASS INLAID COROMANDEL WOOD CIGAR BOX HUMIDOR 1880 Cabinet Case. The box measures approx 6 3/4 inches (175mm) wide, by 7 inches (180mm) deep, by 4 1/2 inches (115mm) tall, and is made from Coromandel wood with delicate brass inlay, and inset brass handles at either side. The hinged lid has “stand up” hinges (see photos), and the interior is lined with mahogany. This beautiful antique cigar box. Is in good, antique condition with light wear and small restorations in keeping with its great age, but no damage. The hinges work as they should, and the lid is a good fit, and opens and closes without issue. Beautiful vintage circular or round and scalloped paneled Pipe Tobacco or Cigar Humidor/Holder. It is made of a hardwood and has a brass finial on the circus tent top. Measures 10″ tall x 6″ dia. Inside opening 3 3/4″ opening, x 5 1/4″ deep, 3/4 thick. It is very well made and very clean with no odor. This item was found at a world traveler’s estate sale so not sure where he would of picked it up at. The wood has a lot of wood grain and dark/light areas. Not sure what type of wood but feel it is a hardwood of some sort. Very nice warm, rich, patina’d color. The bottom of the base that is not seen looks to be a particle board and there is an indented hole that does not go through. 4 felt pads for furniture protection. Switzerland , Mid-1900’s, made of wood. Height : 5.5 in. Width : 8.5 in. Depth : 5.5 in. Great overall condition, with original key, for 24 cigars. My name is Greg, I’m a French guy who had business in Charlotte NC for 3 years. Unfortunately, I had to move back to France because of a slow activity. I fell in love with the US, particulary Charlotte! So now my only goal is to return to Charlotte, and for that I want to export French furnitures and antiques there! This idea came because of my love for wood and history. It is a great area to find valuable furnitures and smalls because of the proximity of wealthy ski resorts like Megève and Chamonix Mont-Blanc. It is also close to Geneva (switzerland), about 45minutes by car. The Geneva area is one of the richest in Europe due to finance and whatchmaking. Italy’s not to far as well, 40 minutes. So when you’re living and picking in this kind of environment, It is not rare to come across real pieces of art and history. It has an raised Victorian womans face in the center of top with Victorian trim on the outer corners. Unfortunate, One corner is missing its trim. It has a very intricate lock plate on the front, but is missing its key. Back hinges are broken, one still has its original pin to hold it together. It has tin lining in lid and inside box. One corner of the tin is damaged. Wood box it self is in good condition. Not sure the the raised trim pieces are silver or something else. This is a beautiful old pieces that needs some love to make it shine again.
