This is a True Antique Duncan Phyfe, Federal Cigar Humidor Smoke Stand Box Cabinet. It has not been tampered with. I only cleaned it and it has the original patina. There is a small strip missing on the door, a. Nd there’s a screw hole in the back. The leather top shows signs of wear. But on the whole it has survived the over 200 years of existing very well. This lovely Humidor cabinet measures 25″ or 64 cm tall by 14″ wide by 10 deep. Wood lined copper/ bronze box with a beautifully rendered picture of fisher type goddess catching fish. Scene depicts shell bench, bridge, and sailboat. Top and sides leaf intricate design. I believe the copper/ bronze details are etched, but not 100% sure. Condition: In good pre-owned condition. Hows typical/expected wear from normal usage and age. The metal part has normal tarnishing. Antique SOLID Cherry Wood 1885 Humidor Box Folk Art Decoration Fraktur Cut Outs

This estate fresh, un-restored solid cherry wood humidor from the 1880’s measures 9″ x 14″ x 8 1/2 overall and retains original surface on the outside and original zinc interior. One end has a tinsmith made zinc drawer for a damp sponge and all of the exterior is decorated with delicately cut-out and colored pictorial paper decorations of birds, trees, castle, horsemen and flowers. It retains original brass hinges and ceramic knob and is sturdy (dirty) and usable with some gentle cleaning. The wood bottom is a bit soft from years of dripping moisture from the “sponge drawer” and there is significant wear and loss to the applied paper decoration on the lid.
