Swift Humidor with stamped patent date “July 25, 82″ in bottom of liner. This humidor has a rich wood finish with very simple silver hardware and a pivoting handle. Its classic design is just as a desirable today as it was over hundred years ago. This humidor comes with a key and lock that that works, but due to the age of this box, it is tricky to get the lock to latch due to alignment issues. It will lock with a little manipulation. The rich finish is in good condition, as well as the hardware with some patina, which adds to the beauty of this humidor. Please see pictures for the actual condition of this fabulous piece. Up for sale is a wonderful antique silver-plated brass tobacco jar. It has a lovely design with a very intricate fruit trim wrapping the edge in high relief. The lid sits recessed into the base which is hallmarked underneath. It’s in nice condition and has a lovely shine. Measures 4 3/4 inches tall by 4 1/4 inches in diameter. Well made pipe box in excellent condition-probably because it was not moved much from hanging on a wall, Bought this over twenty years ago from Richard Axtell who found it in Bergen County NJ. Old note inside says this box was owned by a descendent of David DesMarest (later Demarest) who came to the US in 1663 and who had a grant of 5000 acres on the Hackensack river. THIS LISTING IS FOR… This wonderful, antique, Copper Humidor Box with applied Scarab Beetles and Blue stones or glass. It measures 6 by 3.5 inches and is 3.5 inches tall. This box is an exceptional beauty. It has feet and a stamped design all around the edge. There is a ribbed pattern in relief circling the box as well. There are 5 scarab beetles applied on the top and 8 blue stones or glass with 2 being in the eyes of the largest scarab beetle. Inside of the box is very clean. There is a dent on the underside by one of the feet so maybe it was repaired at sometime. I do see Silver solder on every one of the feet and other places so I’m assuming that was the way it was originally made. I’m also assuming this is an antique and that it is Egyptian. It has no markings on it anywhere and I was unable to find anything like it anywhere in my internet searches to compare it to. Royal Jamaica’ Cigar Box. A lovely wooden cigar box decorated with geometric banding dating from the early to mid 20th Century. The inside of the lid is stamped with the “Royal Jamaica Cigars” logo and it comes with two original de-humidifiers. The box also comes with its original working key. Width : 16 1/2 (42cm). Height : 5 1/2 (14cm). Depth : 9 1/2 (24cm). The box is in good condition for its age. It has been well looked after and has retained its natural aged look. The outer has some small age related knocks and scuffs but nothing detrimental. Inside it is generally clean and tidy with a few small marks and overall it displays very well and is certainly a nice usable item. This is a nice large old antique Mahogany wood, brass tin lined cigar, tobacco, cigarette smoking humidor case box. The item is marked by the maker: Benson & Hedges and it has initials engraved into a brass plaque on the top and it is dated for 1906 (see photos). The item is a large oversized humidor box (see photos). The item is made of yellow Brass metal, what looks to be Mahogany wood and a tin or metal interior liner (see photos). The item has a nice classical style (see photos). The item in total measures about 11 and 1/2 inches high, 1 foot 1 inch from the front to the back and it is about 1 foot 4 inches wide. The item has some , scratches, scuffs, tarnish, engraving and some signs of wear from age and use (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).
