This is a nice large old antique Mahogany wood, brass tin lined cigar, tobacco, cigarette smoking humidor case box. The item is marked by the maker: Benson & Hedges and it has initials engraved into a brass plaque on the top and it is dated for 1906 (see photos). The item is a large oversized humidor box (see photos). The item is made of yellow Brass metal, what looks to be Mahogany wood and a tin or metal interior liner (see photos). The item has a nice classical style (see photos). The item in total measures about 11 and 1/2 inches high, 1 foot 1 inch from the front to the back and it is about 1 foot 4 inches wide. The item has some , scratches, scuffs, tarnish, engraving and some signs of wear from age and use (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). Antique 19th Century Victorian Period. Tiger Oak & Brass Mount. A wonderful desk top cigar smokers cabinet constructed in the manner of a safe in beautifully grained Tiger Oak with ebony string highlights and English Royal crests to doors. Brass mounts and handles, the brass lock cover slides open to reveal a fully operational lock with key. The twin doors open to reveal a fully fitted interior again with brass mount handles consisting of three draws one large below two small cigar storage, additional jar compartment to right. The right inner door with vesta compartment. The cabinet is in beautiful condition. Tiger oak is more expensive than normal oak as it is taken from better wood and cut at such an angle to produce the tiger stripe effect therefor being used on the finest quality furniture. Dimensions: 9 3/4″(24.8cm) wide by 9 1/4″ (23.5cm) high by 7 1/16(18cm) deep. Dont miss out on this superb piece of history to use or as a wonderful collectors item. Antique Black Forest Carved German Hunt Humidor Antler Rosette Cigar Box c. Antique German Black Forest Wooden Carved ANTLER HUMIDOR BOX Stag Rosette c1880. It is German, hand carved from wood to look like tree bark, and decorated with roebuck stag antlers and 4 antler rosettes, two carved in relief showing a deer and a stag. Inside show three divided compartment, one with a lid. An early cigar humidor or tobacco box that comes with its original key. Dating to circa 1880. The box measures approx. 15″ x 7.5″ x 5 plus the external antler decorations. Good used condition showing great patina. The box has some damage to some of the antler tips, also has some older repairs to the feet. Inspect all photos to complete condition detail. Collection is welcome from Brixworth, Northamptonshire. Antique Bronze/Brass Cedar Lined Humidor Cigar Box Cast Relief Greek Revival

Here is a gorgeous antique cedar lined humidor made of heavy cast bronze/brass. It measures 7-1/8 inches long, 6-1/8 inches deep, and is 3-1/2 inches tall. It is entirely decorated in Greco-Roman relief vignettes depicting soldiers on horseback, courting couples, a god and goddess like figures, framed in ornate decorative geometric designs. It is in excellent condition with original patina. These boxes were often silvered, but I do not see any traces and can’t imagine how it would wear off so completely with all the peaks and valleys. It does not have a maker’s mark or any other marks to indicate its origin, but I have seen similarly decorated boxes marked Made in Belgium. Please review the photos for a complete description. All photographs are part of the description. We are always obtaining new pieces and have a seemingly endless number of other interesting antiques and collectibles. We are not jewelers. We do not know color or clarity, and do not know natural from heated, enhanced, or synthetic. We either rely upon marks for metal purity, or test for gold content. Victorian Era Cigar Box. “Rogers Smith Meriden CT Quadruple 2X USA”. This lovely box has 2 cherubs holding up a candle stick. Doves and garland decorate the sides of the box. And sits on 4 ball feet. There are 4 hinged lids, the 2 large sides have a lock (no key). This is a heavy piece, it measures 11.5″ long x 8″ deep x 10 tall. The metal looks like brass, but the scratches on the bottom of feet and a few areas look silver. This does have some tarnish and wear. But is still a beautiful piece for its age.
