This is a nice antique Cigar Humidor box (see photos). The item looks to be make of Mahogany wood and it has nice mounts that look to be silver plated to me (see photos). The item is antique (see photos). The item has a lock on it and it is open, but I do not have a key (see photos). The item has a mount on each upper and lower corner with the word Cigars written in metal cursive script on the top of the box (see photos). The item would make a welcome addition to your collection (see photos). The item is in as found condition. The item in total measures about 5 inches high, about 7 inches from the front edge to the back side at the top and 10 and 3/4ths inches wide from side to side. The metal word cigars has a break in the lettering and it looks as if there should be more metal around the top of the key ole etscheon that is missing? Up for sale is a high quality antique 19th century handmade wooden cigar humidor box. It’s made out of a rich colored mahogany with ornate open worked plated metal corners and has acquired a lovely sheen patina from age. The lid opens on dual hinges and is lined with an early traditional tin humidor lining that has wings in the back for a humidor stone. It’s in nice antique condition and measures 10 inches long by 6 3/4 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches tall. The box has a square key entry but is missing the original key. Antique German Black Forest Wood Carved ANTLER HUMIDOR BOX Stag Rosette Hunt Dog Relief Key c1880. It is German, carved from wood to look like tree bark, and decorated with roebuck stag antler. 3 antler rosettes, one carved in relief showing a hunting dog. Inside shows a divided compartment. Dating to circa 1880. MEASURES: 9 7/8″ total height, 5 1/2″ to top of box, 11 1/2″ total width, 7 1/8″ deep. Good used condition showing great patina. A nail shows at the back of the lid and we see two chips just in front of the hinges. Inspect all photos to complete condition detail.
