The interior front white liner has a clean crack almost center and the feet on the bottom corners are missing. Otherwise, the wood is in very good condition! Measures approximately 11″ L X 8″ X 4 3/4 H. Marked with the #17 on bottom. Brass blank plate on top that can be personalized. Sterling silver overlay decorations, applied without soldering. Hinged, top lid with pierced under lid liner for better conservation of the tobacco products kept inside. A characteristic design from the American Arts & Crafts movement, with intricate and stylized floral and natural silver motifs on patinated copper. There is a mark ” Sterling” on the silver upfront. Antique 19th Century Victorian Period. Tiger Oak & Brass Mount. A wonderful desk top cigar smokers cabinet constructed in the manner of a safe in beautifully grained Tiger Oak with ebony string highlights and English Royal crests to doors. Brass mounts and handles, the brass lock cover slides open to reveal a fully operational lock with key. The twin doors open to reveal a fully fitted interior again with brass mount handles consisting of three draws one large below two small cigar storage, additional jar compartment to right. The right inner door with vesta compartment. The cabinet is in beautiful condition. Tiger oak is more expensive than normal oak as it is taken from better wood and cut at such an angle to produce the tiger stripe effect therefor being used on the finest quality furniture. Absolutely gorgeous early 1900s solid wood smoke stand with copper lined cigar tobacco humidor chest cabinet end table. Im unsure of maker or year, but believe its from the early 1900s. All screws are flat head. Front door has a beautiful design with a simple round pull handle. Great condition & structurally solid. Door opens/closes as it should. Wood shows only light scratches/scuffs. Couple finish wear spots to top (last photo) but hardly notable. I like to point out any & all flaws I find if possible. Copper lining is intact. Im unsure of type of wood. Measures 12 wide by 10 deep & 261/2 tall to top of handle or 22 tall to top of table top. There is a good chance we can settle any issues you may have. Originally a writing slope, it has been re-purposed as cigar humidor and ceder wood lining has been added later to the interior. Original lock and key. There are two filters in the lid to regulate humidity, these will likely need new filters to function. Good large size and a good conversion. Monogram to the inlaid mother of pearl.
