Antique Victorian Box re purposed as a Cigar Humidor Circa 1880. Approx Size: 14″ x 9.25″ x 12. Great overall antique condition. Originally a writing slope, it has been re-purposed as cigar humidor and ceder wood lining has been added later to the interior. Original lock and key. There are two filters in the lid to regulate humidity, these will likely need new filters to function. Good large size and a good conversion. Monogram to the inlaid mother of pearl. Up for sale is a wonderful antique pink glass and. Lid features a 3 dimensional pipe resting on the top along with a lovely finial. It mounts to a thick pink glass jar with a gorgeous silhouette. It is in good used condition and measures 6 1/2 inches tall by 4 3/4 inches wide. There are some small dings on the lid and some ware to the plating. But in 1910 it was undoubtedly used for tobacco. Created by the E F Caldwell Co of New York, this silver on bronze box is very heavy and we’ll constructed. Measures 4″ x 7″ x 2 tall. Lid holds a screened piece that contains a sponge to keep your stash from drying out! Fantastic old piece from one of the greatest bronze works in New York City. RARE ANTIQUE BENSON & HEDGES SILVER CUT GLASS CIGARETTE BOX with STERLING INSERT

This is quite rare, in excellent condition, only needing a light polishing which I will leave to you. I believe the top is silverplate, and has a fancy engraved monogram, and marked on the inside front edge Benson & Hedges as shown. Inside is a insert that I think is sterling silver, but is not marked, with center pierced box that measures the center section 3″ wide X 2 3/4″. Total this measures 9 3/4″ wide X 3 1/2″ deep X 3 1/4 high. The inside insert weighs 156 grams. Please look closely at my photos for details.
