Vintage handmade wood brass steel copper Arts & Crafts Art Nouveau cigar box

Up for sale is an extremely high quality vintage handmade Arts and Crafts cigar box. It’s made out of a hand carved mahogany base and completely embellished with ornate Arts and Crafts detailing throughout. The box has very thick forged steel sides with copper appliqués and hardware all held with exquisite brass riveting. It has elaborate pivoting handles on each side made of brass and copper mounts and a hinged lock on the face. The box opens on a hinge and is lined with a thick stainless steel lining. It’s in exquisite condition and is extremely heavy. Measures 13 inches long by 8 1/2 inches wide by 5 7/8 inches tall. It may have has a removable shelf inside. Antique Victorian Smoker’s Box. Cigar Tobacco box humidor. Solid Oak box with Ornate Brass filigree “Cigar” and corner embellishments. Ornate tin metal lined interior. The hinges are both marked with. Pat’D July 1st, 1890. (does not mean that was date made, just patent approved). Believe it to be late 1800s/ early 1900s. Working lock, no key. Box measures 10 x 6.5 wide x 4-1/2 tall. Inside width: 9 x 5-1/2. Breakables are ALWAYS INSURED. I have given due diligence to the research. Vintage German Wood & Brass Humidor Cigar BOX Hunter Gun Laurel Wreath Relief. It is German and serves as a cigar humidor box. The lid shows a handsome plaque (probably bronze) showing a hunter aiming his gun, surrounded by a laurel wreath, and is in high relief. Inside of lid shows a label from the maker or retailer. MEASURES: 2″ tall, 7 1/2″ wide, and 5 3/8 deep (at the lid). Good used condition showing very gentle signs of age/wear. See all photos as part of complete condition detail. Antique Victorian Oak & Brass Cigarette & Cigar box, Humidor, Lockable with key

Antique Victorian Oak & Brass Cigarette & Cigar box or humidor, complete with working lock and key. Please note to operate, the lock needs to be held open using the key (unlocked) before the lids are replaced (pushed down against the spring loaded mechanism) before releasing the key to lock the lids in place. They cannot be pushed shut without doing this. To unlock simply turn the key and both lids will pop up by a small amount. This is a very old and much loved piece, there have been repairs and modifications over it’s long life which include a repair/replacement to one lids latch (right hand side) and a piece of wood cut in under the left hand side of the lock body as well as some small patches of wood stain or paint. These are all done with charm and add to the story of this functional but beautiful addition to anyones collection. A small drawer with a brass handle has also been added at some point to the front, to store matches perhaps? Making this a unique item. There are two wooden cedar? Lined compartments and it has a brass carry handle, two engraved brass plaques on the lids read cigarettes and cigars. The corner decorations are plated brass, as are the hinges, and there is a brass escutcheon to the lock. Size is 9 and 1/2 inches wide x 6 and 3/16 inches deep x 4 inches in height. This listing is for an EPCO A. Spalding & Bros Rockwell Kent Art Deco Brass Etched Cigar Box from the 1920s. A fairly rare object displaying one of Kent’s finest graphic images. Brass body with intaglio etched lid; wood lining. The image depicts “Sally”, Kent’s wife. Designed in 1928 for A. 520 Fifth Avenue, and executed by Chase Brass. Spalding & Bros” on front rim and “EPCO on back rim. Is The East Prospect Cigar Company, Pennsylvania. Measures approximately 7-1/8″W x 5-1/2″D x 2H. Good overall vintage condition with slight toning of original finish very typical for this type of ware. Moderate wear and tear, but still has good years left. Up for sale is a nice high quality antique late 19th century figural cigar box. It’s done with very elaborate detailing, made of a silver plated brass, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. The box has an exquisite figural scene depicted on every panel in high relief and is very intricate design. It’s lined with a cedar wooden lining and footed with circular legs. In nice antique condition and measures 7 3/4 inches long by 3 3/4 inches tall by 5 3/4 inches wide. Which will be a charge of 7% due to New Jersey state law. RARE Rockwell Kent Brass Cigar Box, Art Deco Engraved Lady by A G Spaulding

1928 RARE Rockwell Kent Sally Art Deco Cigar Box. The outside of the box is brass and the inside is lined with wood. The image on the front is attributed ti Rockwell Kent, a famous artist, print maker and writer, 1882 1971. The image depicts Sally (Sally Kent Gorton) his wife and widow. The image was designed in 1928 for an A. Spalding & Brothers magazine advertisement. Epicts Sally (Sally Kent Gorton) his wife and widow. There are very few of this particular box available. Rockwell Kent had the image etched in the lids of some brass boxes and gave them out as gifts to friends and business associates. This particular box has been well cared for. The inside of the is clean and in very good condition. The brass on the outside has developed a nice patina and has other signs of normal age. The lid is also still very well attached with a good working hinge. It is about 2 5/8 inches by 5.5 inches by 7 1/8 inches. The box is marked A.
