Benedict Studios, Hammered Copper Footed Humidor Box, Cigars, Tobacco, Very Nice

The humidor is quite large as it measures 10 3/16″ wide by 6 7/16″ deep and 6 1/8 tall to the top of the handle. This humidor has a wonderful hand hammered texture on copper with a splendid applied hand hammered decorative handle. The hand hammering is plentiful and wonderfully done. The patina is as found original condition and considered quite good. You can see some wear with the copper peeking through especially inside the box but the craftsman brown with black highlights brings the warmth to this piece. The handle is mounted to the top cover and is held in place with faceted rivets. On the underside cover you can see a strap that is also riveted. This is where the sponge with moisture was stored. This humidor is considered to be in very good to excellent condition as there are no cracks or major dents to the metal. There is a few indents in one side and one of the feet has some buckling but nothing too obtrusive. This is pictured and considered normal age wear. Some areas of patina are weaker than others but it is original as found. The inside shows more patina wear but this is a moot point because you cannot see this when the lid is on. Antique Bronze Copper Cigar Box Humidor Hammered Carnelian Eye Stamped Wmfg 48

Jeweled Arts and crafts humidor box, Masonic eye on a hand hammered body in a nicely aged dark patina in a copper bronze and silver. The box is cedar wood lined, excellent for humidor use. The applied masonic eye on top is set on a brighter copper triangle with a silver eye, at its center is a smooth carnelian cabochon stone, round on top. Stunning piece measures appx 7.5″ long by 4″ wide. Marked with makers hallmark WMF G, and GERMANY on underside. The large rectangular box sits on four bun supports, has a hammered copper bronze body, flat edge detail to edge of hinged cover, the hinge has a crimped surround edge, moves easily. Missing wooden insert slats and has very minor wear, small scratch and very minor dent to corner. Not polished or cleaned, I only wipe with soft cloth, this is from my personal collection, in excellent condition see photos for details. Circa 19th century to early 20th century. Cover is hammered sterling. Cover is marked Sterling (cross mark) 2504H. Cover weighs 8.50 troy ounces. Handle has Monogram JHB. Handle has ding on top. Handle turns and I was not able to tighten it. Hand hammered body, the hinged lid is embossed with a game bird on a pine tree. Marked for the famous German company “WMF” and numbered “29”. Height: 6cm / 2.36in. Length: 19cm / 7.48in.
