Vintage Wood Round Cylinder TOBACCO HUMIDOR OR CIGAR BOX Curved Panels 9 1/2 T

Beautiful vintage circular or round and scalloped paneled Pipe Tobacco or Cigar Humidor/Holder. It is made of a hardwood and has a brass finial on the circus tent top. Measures 10″ tall x 6″ dia. Inside opening 3 3/4″ opening, x 5 1/4″ deep, 3/4 thick. It is very well made and very clean with no odor. This item was found at a world traveler’s estate sale so not sure where he would of picked it up at. The wood has a lot of wood grain and dark/light areas. Not sure what type of wood but feel it is a hardwood of some sort. Very nice warm, rich, patina’d color. The bottom of the base that is not seen looks to be a particle board and there is an indented hole that does not go through. 4 felt pads for furniture protection. Antique Wilhelm Schiller Terra Cotta Tobacco Box Greyhound Lid Face Match Holder

This is a wonderful antique 19th century painted terra cotta tobacco box made by Wilhelm Schiller & Son of Bavaria. It has been painted to resemble bronze, with lines of gold beading as accents. The top of the lid has a figural greyhound and the ends of the box have figural faces with crowns that were to hold matches. There are strikes below the heads. There are pipes and smoking paraphernalia in relief on both sides. The piece bears the WS&S mark on the bottom for Wilhelm Schiller & Son. It measures 6 1/2″ tall to the top of the greyhounds head, 7 3/4″ across and 4 3/4 deep. There are some chips that have been filled in to match the color around the inside edge and a filled in chip on one end above the face. Nothing noticeable at all. Overall it displays very well, with quite an impressive look. You will be pleased.
