Antique Walnut Burr Cigar Box Humidor Tobacco Smokers Table Cabinet Apothecary

Quality antique walnut burr wood humidor table top cabinet / box. Featuring brass flush military handles to the side of the cabinet and to each dovetailed drawers lined with cedar. The walnut has a wonderful grain with a lovely patina. There are marks, knocks, signs of wear/use all adding to it’s look. There are some losses to the ebony edging. The right door has been repaired at some point. Please note the item does not come with a key and the lock looks damaged, however the door stays closed. Overall a rare cabinet in good antique condition. Please note the following. Please read entire description. Size is 14 1/4L x 9 H x 11 1/4 W. An Antique Dark Oak? Estate Humidor Cigar Tobacco Casket Box. In doing my research, I came across the initials AD stamped on one of the brass plates(see last pic). I was given information on where to find it. Has brass handles on each side. Milk Glass inside does have a small crack(see last pic). Has some wear on outside normal for its age. I believe this to be dated early 1900s. Beautiful piece, DO NOT MISS OUT! This unusual, Rochard, Limoges box is a brown’wooden’ cigar humidor with “Fine Cigars” in gold script, a lit cigar, and 22KT gold pin stripe and dark brown borders. A tobacco leaf is the clasp, and the’cedar’ lined interior has a hygrometer/thermometer and four cigars with gold and black bans, and a removable, fifth one that is 2 long. Once upon a time, Colt Firearms made their own version of bakelite, a heat resistant early plastic for gun handles called Coltrock, aka Colt Rock, Colt Bakelite, Colt Plastic. Specialty items Colt made of this bakelite included buttons, cosmetic cases, and humidors/cigarette boxes, like this one, styled to look like a book, called, The Courtship of Lady Nicotine. Does it get more noir than this? These boxes are extremely scarce and the red version is incredibly RARE.
